He chuckled, looking up from the book he'd been reading to look at her.
"Seems I'm still recognized. Yes, I was the child accompanying the Proffy all those years ago."

"So it is you!" She smiled a little, pointing at him slightly. "May I accompany you for a few minutes if you don't mind?" she gestured to the space beside him on the bench.

"Go right ahead, ma'am," he snuck one last glance at her before looking back down to his book.

She didn't even wait for him to completely finish his response. "Ah thank you!" She perched beside him, not too close because they were mere strangers, but not too far. Comfortably far. Another "thank you" emerged from her.
She played around with the woolen gloves adorned over her fingers. "Sooo.. Good book, huh?" she raised her eyebrows for a second, making eye contact with the book in his hands

Luke was out taking a stroll. The light of a dim flame in a lantern burned as he went on. He wore a gray hoodie, ripped jeans and black sneakers. The boy was vaguely recognizable-due to the fact he always dressed in blue or white. He stopped somewhere near the wall Riley was leaning against; he could hear her light breathing above the crickets chirping. The young puzzle solver bit down on his lower lip, pulling out his knife to his side. As he slowly drew closer to the girl, he noticed she looked familiar...too familiar.
Luke gripped the knife tighter, remembering all the times he'd had with that.. old friend, before she went away. His steps grew slower and slower as he neared her. He took a deep breath, before edging closer and placing a hand on the girl's barren shoulder.
".....Riley?"

"...Hm...? Who's there???" *she can barely see because it's too dark wow*

Luke's eyes widened at the sound of the ravenette's voice.
"...Riley, it really is you!"
He hugged her tightly, and he was actually sobbing a bit.
"Oh Riley.. I thought we'd lost you... It's me, Luke..."
