1) If you believe in Genesis then you would be saying the universe is about 8,000 years old.
2) Imaginary?!?! It may not happen in a flash but it happens, ex. ever wonder why whales have bones shaped to accept a leg bone?
3) All bibles were written by different men called "scribes".
4a)-No, they earned it I haven't.
-Once, I told my parents I was catholic just like them, I informed them of my true religion around the age of 10 with a verbal apology.
-No, I have earned every grade I've gotten for better or worse.
-No, but you've had that personal experience haven't you.
-No, unless you consider crying or puking on them as a baby.
4b). No, you associate god with all that it is good and whole but it is not of god, for god is not human and doesn't have humanistic traits ,being a divine deity of omniscience and omnipotence (among others), he does not have our flaws and flaws are characteristics about us we have developed over our life. So don't bother because then you could relate every good thing ever done out of that persons own ability, their own action guided not by a deity but by their own willpower.

1) Anything wrong with that?
2) Whale "leg bones" are only useful to mount a mate. There is little to no evidence for transition between whales and land animals.
3) It was compiled from the writings of many people from different walks of life who were inspired by God, not just scribes.
4a) and 4b) What were we talking about? I can't seem to find the comments on the original page.

1) Yes, there is evidence that dates back hundreds of millions of years.
2) It was just one example and it is shaped similar to our pelvis and the pelvises(pelvi?) of other walking animals.
3) Compiled and written are two separate matters. And they were written by people of all walks of life but were accepted by Solomon who was funding the development of the bible.
4) I believe you were questioning my integrity on the matter that I haven't sinned.

1) Such as?
2) Lol, so you believe that whales evolved from land animals with a "similar looking pelvis"? Ichthyosaurs, dolphins and sharks have a similar looking body shape yet they are not related.
3) "Solomon who was funding the development of the bible."?

1.Dinosaurs?
2.It was an example of possible evolution not the best one but the first that came to mind.
3.Oh course it didn't start or end with him, He was simply the first one to compile the stories ,there have been many additions (the New Testament) but it was all because of him that the bible is a book not a bunch of jumbled ideas on stone walls.
3(dates) You do realize that in reality Christianity didn't start until after the death of Jesus as most of what is in the bible is really just a modified Torah.

2. I see.
3. "You do realize that in reality Christianity didn't start until after the death of Jesus as most of what is in the bible is really just a modified Torah."?
Christianity(New Testament) is the fulfillment of the Old Testament(Torah included). They are both inseparable.

1. You stated that your ok with believing the world is less than 10,000 years old but dinosaurs went extinct hundreds of millions of years ago meaning according to the bible they couldn't have existed.
3.Then why would Judaism possibly exist if it were inseparable.

1. "dinosaurs went extinct hundreds of millions of years ago meaning according to the bible."?
Who on Earth told you that?
3. "Then why would Judaism possibly exist if it were inseparable."?
The "Judaism" we know today is a wicked heretical cult which forces the Jewish people to reject their Messiah the LORD Jesus Christ also known as Yeshua.
The leading figures of Modern Judaism don't give a damn about Scriptures much less other people. They only care about filling their pockets at the expense of other people. Toss a coin between the Rabbis and watch them fight to the death.
True Judaism is Messianic Judaism.

1. So you you think that Tyrannosaurus Rex still walks the earth? Or do you still not believe that the world is older than 10,000 years old even though some religions predate that and are still around to tell of their past?
3. And you believe the leaders of Christianity/Catholicism do care about their people?,HAHAHA. The Jewish people are not forced to reject their so called messiah as they believe through pure faith that he has not come just as you believe through pure faith that he has come. Also toss a child between pastors and see how much they "care" about their people.

1. I believe that T-rex probably went extinct sometime after the Flood. Though I am still open to the possibility that it could have survived. Same goes for the other "extinct" animals. We thought the Coelacanth was extinct but it was still alive.
3. "And you believe the leaders of Christianity/Catholicism do care about their people?"?
Sure I do. Time after time, my church leaders have shown that they care about me through their actions.
People like you often get the wrong impression about pastors and accuse them of being "Holier than thou" without even meeting them personally in the first place. I don't know about Catholic priests since I have never met one personally in my life.
"Also toss a child between pastors and see how much they "care" about their people."?
I don't know what kind of pastors you have met, but the pastors I know show genuine love and care towards children.

1. Still doesn't account for anything else from beyond those 12,000 years. Also if the T-Rex died in or around the flood they would have been fossilized which could be carbon dated thus disproving their extinction from millions of years ago, and most creatures that might possibly be alive are almost definitely aquatic as we are not able to reach the bottom of the seas and oceans.
3. "People like you" How are you defining me? You know nothing of my life, you know nothing of my past, present or future, yet you stand to pass judgement on me? I was a Catholic until I read the Bible, then I realized what a convoluted faith it was and declared my Athiestic beliefs to my Catholic mother and father. Up until the fifth grade I went to a catholic school where I couldn't right using my left hand otherwise the wonderful nuns and priests would beat me for being associated with the devil. As for Christian pastors, I've met twice as many sick and twisted pastors as I have pastors who have a hint of good within them. The problem you experiencing is that you, through blind faith, have a preconceived notion that they are good and thus your mind masks any evil they may carelessly show. I on the other hand actually know that pastors and priests are just as much human as us and thus have their own demons to deal with, most of the time they actually have worse demons, and try to escape them by putting up the facade of being a priest/pastor.

1. I think carbon dating is flawed anyway.
"and most creatures that might possibly be alive are almost definitely aquatic as we are not able to reach the bottom of the seas and oceans."
Well there are more creatures living in the waters than on land.
3. ""People like you" How are you defining me? You know nothing of my life, you know nothing of my past, present or future, yet you stand to pass judgement on me?"
I don't have to know about your past to know that you are the kind of person who gets upset with what a certain pastor does and then generalizes all pastors as if they have the same personality. You are already doing it in this comment alone.
I have no blind faith whatsoever. If there is anyone with blind faith, its you who will just follow anything you hear in the mainstream media and from the "experts".
"I on the other hand actually know that pastors and priests are just as much human as us "?
Every Christian I know knows this. We are all sinners fallen short of the glory of God. Sure I know there are many wolves in sheep's clothing out there, but that does not mean you generalize all pastors in one group and say that all pastors "have worse demons".

1. I think Christianity is flawed anyway. And no matter that there are more creatures underwater, there are far too many cases of dating that goes back millions of years, some of it even comes from man.
3. I haven't generalized off of one pastor, I've generalized off of all the pastors I've met.
You call me blind by assuming I follow "experts" and the mainstream? You're generalizing what you know of athiests and associating me with it. Using your logic, I could call you blind, for following the word of man instead of the word of god.
Again I didn't generalize, I said "most of the time" not "every single pastor ever, in the history of evertood has really bad demons of the past plaguing them".
Conclusion: You're hypocritical beyond belief, yet you fail to see this. You also have developed a sense of pride from your visit from "God", which is, in itself, the epitome of hypocrisy.

1. Really now? Thats exactly how I feel about Evolution. BTW, "dating methods" once dated a human skull cap to 300 million years old. LOL.
3. "I've generalized off of all the pastors I've met."?
- What kind of pastors have you met? Give me one reason why you hate them other than the fact that they don't agree with you on the existence of God.
- "You call me blind by assuming I follow "experts" and the mainstream?"?
That is as blind as religion if you ask me. Don't you follow the experts and the mainstream media too?
- "You're generalizing what you know of athiests and associating me with it."?
You are already acting like it right now in this conversation. I don't have to generalize whatsoever.
- "Evertood" isn't a word.
- "You're hypocritical beyond belief, yet you fail to see this."? You talking to yourself again?
Conclusion: You anti-theists also have developed a sense of pride from you calling yourselves "bright and intelligent human beings" and rejecting God in favor of this house made of sand called "Reason", which can be easily blown away by the winds of time and be replaced with something else that is newer and also called "Reason". And you still dare to call us hypocrites? This is the epitome of hypocrisy.

1. And the bible encouraged sacrificing a bull every sunday...
3.Obviously not good ones
- I don't follow mainstream media as it is usually just the story that seemed most interesting not the one that is actually correct.
-It?
-No duh, it was use of emphasis.
-The man who regularly "prays" is accusing me of talking to myself?
Conclusion: You still don't know the difference between an athiest and an antitheist. I don't consider myself all that bright or intelligent, in fact there are several people in my who life who I consider far above me. You reject the ever-evolving and ever-improving house of reason, in response for something that can't adapt with new-found knowledge.

1. Evolution did not even happen in the first place. They were created along side the other kinds of animals.
3. The modern Jewish religion is the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. They still would not accept their Messiah who has already arrived to forgive them of their sins, instead they want to wallow in their self righteousness and create legalists rules more harsh than the Old Testament laws.

3. And Christians are a bunch of ignorant imbeciles who choose to believe that a poor carpenter who knew how to heal and believed in god is their Messiah instead of seeing him for what he was.

3. And you think Materialistic Anti-theism is any better? You guys are just blindly following the opinions of the "experts" and "intellectuals" anyway. Materialistic Anti-theism is just a godless religion where the blind worships the blind.

I reject the idea of a deity but I don't hate it or those who believe in it. Also I meant fate* not faith. I have personally never liked the idea of fate as it would make any of my choices and/or decisions worthless, as it was pre-ordained which in my mind makes life pointless as there would be no benefits or consequences to those decisions.
