Ok with vectors you take a image already made like a screen shot from a show or a drawing or any thing then in Photoshop or Illustrator you trace the line art with the pen tool usealy in one color darkest black then you make the color with the pen tool and you can see it comes out clean and nice if yo spend some time on it also vectors can be resized virtually to any size with out lose of quality so they can be useful. I make them on request and ppl make backgrounds out of them if the image is to small normally.
