Hiya, just wondered if you are OK? Haven't seen you around in quite a while, and the lack of activity on here makes me think you have run away. Hope you are OK.

Oh wow! Thank you for the christmas present, you are always so lovely to me. I shall have to advertise to commission somebody to do something new for me. I shall also have to think of what they should do.

Thanks! I shoot at an abandoned ranch quite a bit, but this last series is at a park. It's a great location with lots of different options. Shaine was actually not the model I was shooting that day... she just came along on another shoot and I just got a few of her on the fly.

Thank you for the watch! Hope you are keeping an eye on my body parts series as it goes up. I really like your photographs, you have a real knack for making women look good

I am watching your 8 shots series. I really enjoy the rest of your port as well. The "body parts" concept and execution is so creative! L.O.V.E. the isolation by shooting down the tube. For some reason, it makes the entire concept a bit more personal / intimate. And thank you for your kind words on my photographs... I'm affraid I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to shooting people. I've been a photographer (landscape, architecture, macro, etc...) for over 30 years. I just started pointing my camera at people a little more than a year ago... Nothing line being a complete novice with 30 years experience. Haha!

Really, that does surprise me. But I suppose much of your other photography skills are translating across with the lighting, framing, depth of field. So the only major difference is you are less familiar with posing, but working with a decent model, she will cover that base.

Very true... much of what I already know about photography translates. However, working with strobes / studio lighting, etc. is a bit different. Even how natural light acts on the human form adds an entirely new variable to the mix. I'm a relatively personable guy, but somewhat shy so it is also taking me slightly out of my comfort zone to work with people so intensely. All good things. Nice to have that rush of creative juices in seeing all the new potential. All the learning ahead of me is fun too. That's a big reason I browse DA. I find inspiration in other artist's work... such as yours (for example) Thanks for participating (however unwittingly) in my creative development!
