No, I was waitlisted for the con. I'm super SUPER depressed about it. That was my con. And it left me....BECAUSE I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH ARTIST!!!

I'm sorry to hear you got wait-listed But your art has developed a lot in the time I've known you, don't give up. Art life is definitely a bitch and it's so easy for us to fall into the pit(especially this year, what a utter dumpster fire) but when we get out on tnhe other side, we are *always* better for it.

Try a new angle, something totally outside your comfort zone or whatever you think might provide even a hint of inspiration.

I heard Ohayocon did a lot of shuffling this year and a lor of "regulars" I know got wait listed after years. Don't take it to mean you aren't good enough, because you are. Every wait list or rejection we get is definitely a stab(I have a small stack myself) but you just gotta keep pushing.

Thank you. This year is definitely a pile of crap. As for the art, I dunno, like some things are good and some things not so good. The old term one step forward, but for me it's like 10 steps back. I took the time to get better at my traditional coloring, but everything else is the same or worse.

I did do something different for my Christmas card this year. I'll be posting that on Christmas and only offering it to FB people, mainly because of expenses.

I heard the same from some. What kills me is Just under 200 applicants. About 100 or so tables, I didn't even make it to the part of the waitlist where I could be offered a table if others dropped. That would in math terms put me at 40% if not lower. In school that would be failing. That was one of my best cons of the year, now that money is gone and I don't have a way to make up for it. That is the failing for me.

Do you have a way I can talk to you not on here? I'm actually getting bad about checking messages because almost no one is on here anymore.
