Oh sheesh, thank you so much! I have all but forgotten to check up on my deviantart... Time to enjoy the cake!
My birthday was great, my parents' gift to me was a new computer - or at least a major contribution to it, and it has been sooo great. I've been dying to play many a game I've bought on sale, unable to run them on my old laptop. Now the 7-year-old veteran has passed down to my fiance, as her old computer only functions as a drawing station anymore.

My birthday was celebrated with modesty, as we have numerous birthdays in a clump at the end of August in our family. Nonetheless, I had a good day.
The best part was that my dear had baked me a cake and left clues of the whereabouts of my presents in the apartment, while I was away for the weekend.

Currently I am staying in my home town for the winter holiday we have, catching up with friends and doing some leisurely hobby activities. Meanwhile, in the back of my head school projects and applications for summer job are trying to get my attention desperately.

Shift work ahead for me too..! Starting my second learn-at-work period on monday, at a care home for elderly people with memory sickness. Luckily the unit is no larger than 13 residents, whereas some of my classmates ended up in places with over a hundred... Will make for interesting six weeks.

At least I'm free from school projects..! Almost...

I've been thinking of asking a friend of mine to haul some (Warhammer) miniatures I've painted for him over to my place, so that I could photograph them. I'd get something little to dust my gallery off with~
Though that'll have to wait for a time we can meet up again, so we'll see when that happens.

You too take good care of yourself over there, don't overwork yourself.

So hot on my end -- 36C+ temp's in the Metro -- imagine being in front of an oven all afternoon ( with no slight breeze )

Wow, that sounds great And thank you~ I believe it won't be until my summer holiday when I'll be able to finish them, though.
I was a fool once again and let my schoolwork pile up...
Eugh, I can only imagine... Though I think I've caught a slight glimpse of that during my summer job at a camping kitchen. When the oven and a huge stove are used for hours, not even the air conditioning is able to stall the heat!

Ow, that sounds nasty Wishing for rain sounds really wierd to someone like me, living up here in the north. Nothing ruins the holiday like rainy weather. We have our fair share of rain and cool air anyway
