I guess it's all about where you stay, the longer you stay in one place, the more you see of both sides! Besides, Sweden is a nice country, finnish people usually tend to hate it tho, but they are just being narrowminded.

We have friends from Finland who speaks swedish.

Oh yeah! I kind of most of times hear the word as the brand, so i somehow didn't think of it's original meaning! It's a great thing to have indeed.

About people verbally fighting with other, well, it doesn't matter, there will always  be haters. It's just how it works.

We always root for the northern countries to win too, since we don't really do well with the sports, beside icehockey and iceskating.

Your grandfather is a great man, i'm glad people were helping out each other on such grand scales back in the times of need.

A lot of finnish people suposed to speak swedish, it's even bein teached in the schools as second "land's language". I just never got in to it to study it well, i found drawing in my notebook much more intresting on the lessons overall, silly me.

And of course the people who study the language, usually speak it better, or write it better in most of the times, just because they know only 1 version of words, and no slangs. Fascinating.

Don't think i've ever heared of Finlandsveds, but i'll believe on your word.
