About shadings, and how to do backgrounds because that’s the thing that I have a struggle with the most😅

When it comes to shading what exactly to you find yourself struggling with?
Same with backgrounds.

I am kinda ok with shadings but I still need tips on how to improve it and such but honestly I feel like my shading style looks sort of dull and too blurry and sometimes they kind of get out of place with the base colors.
And as for the backgrounds... All of it😂😂 Just everything in general, its kind of complicated for me and my shadings when it comes to backgrounds doesn’t seem right and I always make my characters seem like blending it with the background instead of popping up more from the picture.

Well with shading, the biggest thing is to establish where you light source is coming from, because that'll change where you put your lights, and then on top of that, you might want to consider how intense your mentally imaging your light. Lights that aren't very intense make more smooth shadows, while intense light makes very sharp shadows on a character or object.
When it comes to base colors and shading colors not aligning, you can try looking at references where other people have shaded areas of the same color, or you can try using a layer like overlay, and then merging that with the normal layer with the original color, and then color-picking the spot where you painted in the overlay.
xD I feel the same way actually.
With backgrounds I'd suggest looking for tutorials on how to draw them, I'm VERY inexperienced. I mean, I guess mine look okay..? xD But I've used a lot of guides and references to get them to look the way they do. There's a book called Mastering Manga, where the artist lays out a good tutorial and explanation on how backgrounds work, you might want to check it out.
Hmm... I don't really see the blending in problem.. looks pretty good to me.
