yes Genius is the brand. I actually did a lot of checking before buying one. I thought i would have to get a really expensive one too to have a good tablet. It can do everything a wacom can do except that the pen tip has to be more straight up and down for the best flow on your screen. Pressuer sensitivity is great though. You can either adjust the way you draw a bit or you can buy a better pen. Here's the actual web site [link] but i also found the model i use on amazon [link]
I started out with gimp but i have PS now. The tablet automatically linked up with everything too so it was almost effortless. I heard some people had problems linking the tablet but I have the new windows vista and had absolutely no problems.

and a wacom graphic tablet; i used to paint with mouse, it works but it´s exhausting, really

get a wacom tablet, they´re the best by far..well, but they´re also quite expensive; i was lucky, a friend sold me hers for 50€
