PhotoShop and AnimationShop both have an optimization setting for the animation images. If you're using the GIMPGAP, I'll have to ask around. The colors don't seem to help much unless you go with greyscale. If you have over about 12-15 frames, you're out of luck, start chopping. You might push it up if you go greyscale to maybe 20 frames, maybe...

Hello and... I need help!
I had accidentally added someone into my recent watchers list and I can't delete it! I've tried going to "Edit settings" and "Edit profile" but I just can't find a way to delete it! HELP!

It occurs to me that the recent watchers list, is a list of those who are watching you. The only way to delete someone from that, is to ask them to not watch you any more.

To delete someone from your watchlist.
Go to your message center. To the right side there's Manage Friends, or Manage My Friends, depending on which page you're looking at.
Click on it, and you'll get a page of your friends. To delete someone, check the left box at their name. Don't forget to click OK down at the bottom.

I hope you don't mind that I'm putting a question on your main page... I couldn't seem to find anywhere else for it.
I was just curious... I make a lot of background/desktop images but they never seem to fit all screens the same... I know some screens are physically bigger but even when I allow for this they don't seem big enough... am I getting the resolution wrong or something? I make them in PhotoShop and generally set them to 1280 x 960 and 72resolution in the thoughts that this would fit a 17inch monitor. Does the resolution of the monitor affect how it is viewed? Is there any way I can make an image that will fit all sizes?
Many thanks for your help... I have a degree in digital media and I have never been able to figure this one out!

I'm not trying to steal the job here, but I thought I'd help you out by giving you a tip. What I've done, and many others have done, is create different resolutions of the same piece. Most sites have wallpaper available in 640 x 480 , 800x600, and for laptops 1024x768. These are the common three. 1280 resolutions are for very large screens, and it is good to have those available too, but I'm not sure how common those are. Typically, it's easy to just allow them to center the image and set a solid background color as a frame. Getting a degree doesn't mean they'll teach you the stuff only geeks know

I forget what the common sizes are, but there ARE several of them. Most of them have the 4:3 ratio, that's the standard. There is also a 5:4 ratio and 16:9.
Most systems will allow squeeze, or tile. My only suggestion might be to upload the other sizes in a zip file, using your original as the "preview" It will show up large, or small, and the other sizes would be available as a download.
You could check the wallpaper gallery for the common sizes.
