I got a reply from Shedumaster about the design. So here it is: Siam expression on the face should have blurred edges, not sharp ones
Please, ask the designer to keep colour in lines of the lineart. Its a bit messy atm.

Alright this is going to be a long one. So I'm going to try and make this as organized as possible.



So before I begin the critique, I should mention that as far as ARPG art is concerned- it should accomplish what you want it to accomplish.

(TYPE 1- The Sketcher) If you're looking to hoard Art Points and get really high stats for your cat really quickly, then making a bunch of cheap drawings is your way to go.

(TYPE 2- The Cartoonist) If you're looking to create a story out of your characters and just enjoy them and see what happens, writing, making comics, or focusing on telling a story with a few well-composed pieces is your friend.

(TYPE 3- The Master) If you're looking for a way to improve your art and use an awesome yet challenging character as an excuse to do so, (which I am going to assume is what you're doing for now unless I'm told otherwise) than you would just put a lot of effort into a few really well-posed pieces. 



General critique:

Alright so overall certainly not bad. A lot of work clearly went into it and as far as Art Points and general art technique goes you've gotten the idea of how to pose a giant cat and a human.

Also your humans are amazing.


THINGS THAT MIGHT HELP.

ANATOMY: Alright so the front head, neck, chest, and overall front half of the cat looks AMAZING. (and she's a gorgeous cat and I'm jealous (nice stripes)). The back half, though, is really short and tiny. Don't be afraid to go off the page with the cat a little. Correct anatomy will trump framing.


LIGHTING: Making it different times of the day could make it more interesting. Maybe afternoon would work better here? Just an idea. You could do some really cool stuff with lighting and color.

FOLIAGE: Nice trees. You could probably get away with simplifying the grass and maybe trying to make it a little fuller. (you can do this in many ways, using different brushes, or making the grass more sparse).



OK, now onto the Art Points thing.

... WELL. Sit back and relax. I'll try to make it brief and probably fail horrifically.

Alright so this is Coney 10675 . He's a cat that I've been doing art for for a while.

Scroll down and you will see his CONEY AP LOG . It's a Sta.sh file that I use to organize and count up the AP for each pic. You can organize your own log however you want as long as its readable.

At the very bottom of Coney's log is all the "criteria" for counting it up. It looks like you already have the idea down.

As for submitting it to the group, not all of your art has to be and it would be easier to show you how than to tell you. 

Basically when youre on the page with the art you scroll down and on the left it says "submit to group" (or something). click that, click the Sheducats group option, and you can choosea folder in the little white dropdown menu at the bottom. Then you press submit on the bottom and wait.

I thought her back end might look off. I didn't add enough shading to show how she's curling up in a way. I always forget to adjust the shading and add more lighting including the background area. And I didn't realize foliage could be done that way. I may have to just rework it a little more then.
