How long does your typical painting take you?

I actually am! I'm making very slow progress though because my hands have been in a bad state. This is what I've been working on recently:Β i.imgur.com/39E3psk.jpg
For very simple color portraits, it could take around 4-5 hours if all goes well (cutting out any breaks I take). If I don't have a clear idea of what I want to do, or if I change a lot of things, I would say maybe 14+ hours? If I had to average everything, I'd say 8-9 hours. Haha it's hard to tell because I take so many breaks or get distracted. But it has gotten quicker recently for sure.

I've been trying to teach myself digital painting... but I have a hard time finding time to sit down and do it. Β Life and work keep me busy! Β
If one piece could take me 4-5 hours... that would probably be nice. Β I find that most things are taking me much much more and then I end up abandoning them because they aren't turning out the way I want them to.
