Well at this point, why should he? Sean closed the site down and has surrendered his niche in the market of content to those who provide his outdated works. All he did is help those who reupload by turning them into the ONLY source of the stuff.Β

Their wishes don't need to be respected and weren't even reasonable given that the content was:
A: Free
B: Outdated
C: On an unknown person's site.
Sean was a petulant child who didn't like that he couldn't make things go his way, and instead of being a mature adult like Richard and leave on his own, he decided to destroy any goodwill he earned over the previous years.

A person wouldn't want an old worse model released on a site than the new improved version he had just made, would he? And the content shouldn't be redistributed to other sites that are not from the owner, that's like wanting to post an art drawing from someone else that didn't want that drawing to be on DeviantArt anymore! But thethomasfan335646 ruined everything and this user right here still didn't take the leaks down! I agree that Sean could've left on his own without removing the content, but reposting the links and not taking them down yet isn't the right thing, two wrongs don't make a right! Remember! And it's Sean's decision, HE made the content so HE is the one to decide what to do with them.

What? If I was "as bad as Sean", I would have agree completely with his decision, which I am not (since I also wanted Sean to leave without removing the content from the site), I'm just respecting his decision, which is different. Would you really like your uploaded art to be stolen or reuploaded by someone else? And even if you like that, it still depends on the content creator, after all one can do what he or she wants with his or her OWN creations, specially since Sean is not being payed at all for the models he worked hard on.

First off, comparing his models to my art isn't a valid comparison. One is designed to be downloaded and used by others, the other is not. Their very core purpose is completely different.Β
Either way, it doesn't change the fact that they were old models that were no longer supported. He had no reason to care, and it was his own fault that they weren't available via his website in the first place. His decision was simply absurd, to the highest degree. It was ridiculously childish and unprofessional, and I can say that with absolute certainty because I work with game modders who get the short end of the stick a lot and don't react like a nine-year-old pig.Β

And any image on any art here (incluiding yours) can be downloaded easily (just like SI3D's content) as a file and later uploaded here by another user, with the image being edited or something. You wouldn't like that, would you?
Sean had a reason! And that's that it's his content. And this content is made for free! He's not an "official" modeller, he makes this as a hobby! Not a job! If it was a job and the content would need to be paid then yes, his reaction would be stupid, but the content is free.

Again, not a valid comparison. The art is not intended to be used, whereas the models' only purposeΒ is to be used.

So are the modders who I work with. We do it for free. And some of them work jobs on top of that. And yet they are still capable of being normal humans instead of sub-human trash like Sean.

Why is not a valid excuse making the models for free? And you forgot when I mention that the models are Sean's creations, HE made them, not you, me or anyone else that is not Sean. HE decides what to do with HIS OWN creations.
Every person is different, and it depends on what creations the modders you work with are. As I said, those are HIS models, he's not being a "sub-human trash", he's just doing what he wants with the content he himself created and kindly give to us users who didn't really deserve the content in the first place! He was so grateful to upload them and now people didn't respect the rules he made about the content, because he created a set of rules for the content you know? It was on SI3D's site I'll tell you.
