Wow.Β We had one knock-down, drag-out battle for first place in week one of HaikuWriMo2020.Β I don't know if you were watching the polling as closely as I was, but we kept exchanging the lead back and forth all the way to the finish line.Β
Also, considering I totally loved your poem as well, I have decided to share the points I won 50/50 with you in the spirit of good sportsmanship and sheer respect for such a stellar competitor.

Indeed, although after seeing the technical talent you have, I must say i am but a fledgling poet by comparison looking up to a majestic eagle soaring above in the high strata of skills I have not even attempted.Β If the admiration is mutual at all, I suddenly find myself feeling rather unworthy of your respect.Β But honestly I always love surrounding myself with talent. There is no quicker way to learn and improve than to sit at the feet of a master so to speak. ^_^
