Heh. Not that exciting. Mostly just waiting for the gigantic hunk of machinery to stop making gurgling noises at me. It's been getting to finals week here so bit crazy. I'm making a bit of mars soil (matching composition etc) then pushing it through a machine that replicates it going through space, to see what happens to it.

oh shoosh, that is absolutely awesome. though maybe I am being bias, I am generally pretty excited haha
seriously that sounds really neat! I am going to do something similar with some horticulture projects; starting an open program where anyone can help raise and breed certain plants to be adapted to a mars environment. Take some mars soil, create a tank of reduced air pressure and simulate the weather patterns and seasons in three different points- the upper hemisphere, lower, and the equator. I think it'll be very interesting!

Yes! I take a peek every now and then. While the results of the radiation measurements its taking during travel will be very useful, I am much more excited about the upcoming terrain footage.

Yep. Still wish it was heading for Olympic Mons rather than Gale Crater, the geology samples will be lots of fun to study. I know the Geo/Engi cooperative interest has our university already waiting eagerly for all the results.

okay really sorry it took so long to get back to you. >.< i forgot on the weekend and then i started to feel really bad. so since then i have been either asleep or crying. Okay so i can assume you were in class tuesday and phil reviewed it. anyway just in case we are supposed to draw a figure drawing. i thik we are supposed to use shading. their is supposed to be as much skin on the paper as possible.
