Hello, congrats on the DD! This was a really unique tutorial- normally I see one and I think, oh, that's cool, and I favorite it and pretend I'll do it later when I'm bored, but then I never do.
But this one? I've got so many ideas for it! I had never thought of making little things like this, but it seems so perfect! WHEN I do attempt this... I wonder if it will work with toothpaste? I'm always running late to my morning classes, and sometimes the only way I can brush my teeth in the morning is to carry around my toothbrush and paste. It'll take a little bit of work-around and experimentation, but I think this may help out! If I find something important, I'll be sure to let you know!

Also, have you been replying to each comment? Even if it's just copy/paste, that's gotta be a lot of work! Have a hug for your efforts! *hug*

Yeah- tumblr's just a less cumbrsome, bulky place that makes it easier to deal with content and actual people than... scaffolding. DeviantArt is great and powerful when you need it for archiving and showing profiles, but when you want the focus to be on your work or your friends instead of the design of the website... I'd rather take blue over green.

Tumblr's all nice I guess, but it's hard to get actual critiques or anything. Everything gets sorta drowned out by reblogs, and unless you're doing fanart or porn or something that'll appeal to the lowest fandom denominator, it's just not a great place to showcase art, unless you have some sort of built in fanbase from somewhere else. I feel that both dA and Tumblr are designed well. Blue and green are my favorite colors after all.

Here's a summar I crafted together.


Four kids play a reality warping version of The Sims and end up destroying the earth and meet up with the players who created the kid's universe in their game session, in which everyone finds out they were actually born as clones into the game and sent back in time to repeat an endless battle to finish the game and beat the evil guy trying to eat BOTH their universes.


There's plenty of hijinks and time shennanigans and ridiculous characters, plus the reason most people don't recap it is because once a year the author recaps the progress, and it's twelve pages long. It's great for reading all in one go, and- despite the gimmicky start (in which many random actions were suggestions by users), it has a deep and well-woven story that starts to show its claws later on. Despite looking like a total POS, the creator has some serious skills, which he often keeps out of sight. It's a good time to start around now, because the final act should start in about a week or so, when all the answers start to come out.



Plus you are missing the trolls! Who are quite possibly the best characters ever. I got into it when I saw a lot of fanart with the trolls, and I tried to read the first part before I gave up because I though I was at the wrong site. It took me a couple tries to muscle through the first act, but it's totally worth it. like a delicious clam or snail or mollusk or something.

The trolls are just everywhere these days so I can't really stand them because it seems like that's all the fans care about.

Also I'm not a huge fan of anyone's character designs or the art style in general. Except for Nepeta, but that's because she's adorable and I'm a cat person.

Though you say that it's ending soon, I might just wait until it finishes before reading it. Though I'm pretty sure the second it ends the Internet is gonna break.

Admittedly, the trolls are great because there's so many of them, sooner or later there's ONE of them that you love and/or can relate to. And for their relatively short time on screen, as it were, they show a lot of character development, so they're approachable. Plus, when you mix in stuff like the astrological signs, it's very hard not to want to see yourself relating to your own personal patron troll.

Pff, yeah, the art isn't exactly... high quality. (And EEVERYONE love Nepata. But Equius is my favorite shhhhhh~) Shame, because I'm pretty sure the creator has an art degree of some kind. BTW- I was working on some HS fanart myself... (>.> shuddup), and if you ever just image flip your designs to show the opposite side... I will die and haunt you. Hardest to factor in for animation concepts EVER.

And yeah- it will break the internet! At the end of the first 'half' of the series, it crashed Newgrounds, Twitter, Tumblr- a whole TON of sites, just from people trying to view the finale.

Seriously- ignore the people in the fanbase, and try to focus on enjoying the series for yourself. It may not seem like it, but there's solid labor-of-love-platinum underneath that ironic, crusty patina.
