Sometimes it's amazing how much better quick things turn out >__< That was done in a couple of hours on tegaki just after I finished the book for the first time ^__^

I'm kind of amazed at how little art there is of host when there's so much twilight stuff. Then again, Host was a little bit more detached from our regular reality. -laughs- I don't think people are as ready to think about alien invasions as they are to consider sexy vampires.

Or maybe it's that Host is all about how brutal and terrible humans are. Sure we have love to balance us out, but a good portion of that book is holding up a mirror to the human race and it isn't a very flattering reflection, heh. Who knows. I really liked Host (obviously) but I think it's a little too.... alien for most people. What do you think?

I just finished it two days ago and am already rereading parts. I definately think it criticizes humans, but it also points out our good sides. I mean, it shows the super good and the super bad. Idk. Most of my twilight buddies have read The Host too, but not all. I guess along with being a criticism, it's newer too. Eh. They'll figure it out soon enough... :]
