i LOVE RCR... there's nothing better. it's such a fantastic game that i don't even think i'm allowed to callit my favorite. that's how great it is

they've been remaking a lot of Nekketsu games recently. i've been out of the loop too long. i was so impressed with the remake of RCR on the GBA. it's the only GBA game i think i have left.

i also love that really dark game they made on the SNES... The Eulogy of Kunio's friends or whatever. when they start out in jail. my Japanese is pedestrian at best, in terms of reading so i had to do a lot of speculating as to what was actually going on in it while i played...

Unfortunately I can't say I really grew up with RCR, my brother got it for me when I was 14. I wanted it after I saw this video when I was 12 or 13: [link] it was the first video I saw on Newgrounds. XD

I wish they released more of them here. I really liked the simple story of a boy who fought off his friend's bullies in the first arcade game, (Not the Renegade English version.) Very original!

Yeah, that one! I've been looking for an English patch. I found a patch for the other SNES one but I really wanted to play that dark one.

lol no worries. i think i was only about 9 or 10 when i first played RCR.

yeah! I wasn't a huge fan of Renegade even when it first came out. I'm so glad they evolved immediately following that.

I'm pretty sure they have an English patch for that particular game by now. i haven't done anything emulation related in over 10 years

I remember when I first played Renegade. I didn't know it was made by Technos or related in any way to RCR. I thought they copied RCR and Double Dragon...poorly!!

I actually found one, but after applying the patch it wouldn't load on my emulator. :/
