Well, I just really love OC X Cannon cause it doesn't affect the cannon world of the main fandom in any way. And its one way we fans can escape the stresses of the real world, and enjoy our love for our favorite characters in our own way.
Like not everyone agrees if a couple are actually together in a show or other fandom and yet if they like a certain cannon character, one way they can express their love for the cannon character is through an OC

Like with my OCs, most of the time I have crushes on certain characters or I just feel a certain cannon character deserves more love so I create OCs not only for the fun of it but as my way to express love to that cannon character who may underappreciated, etc.

Now Cannon X Cannon pairs, I have to already ship the pairing or like the idea of the couple together or it has to make sense to me otherwise I don't ship it and or agree with it.
