How long have you been studying for? How is it going for you?

I'm hoping to go to art school next year -- it'll be a BA in visual arts if I get in, so it's traditional mediums, but it's always good to look into other avenues and I like hearing what people are doing and how they find it.

Hmmm...really depends what field you are looking to work in?
Something like graphic would go into typography, advertising, while digital would go into editing, concept work, coding game design, story boarding etc. I think Visual is good if you want to be an illustrator or a story board artist?

I'd like to work in concept art, which is a really difficult field to get in and stay in. Still, I'd like to keep my options open and be flexible; I doubt I'll be able to get any concept art jobs until I'm really good.
