Hasbro released a series of g4 ponies that weren't in the show. So far only one is still advertized on the site and that's Lilly Blossom [link]

Hasbro has been known to sell pony toys that haven't shown up in previous tv shows/movies throughout the years. I'm guessing the reason why they do that is to create more diversity and sell more ponies.

Who knows though. Maybe they'll show up in this new season as background characters or something.

Hasbro made heaps of toys for ponies that near appear in the show.

And Rainbow Flash was originally a G3 pony. Lots of G3 ponies have similar names.
