I think that art is very much a constant work in progress. If you are always pushing yourself to learn and do more, and improve, then there is always going to be times when you fail, or mess up. I think that is just the nature of the beast, and that when you mess up, you should take all you can learn from that, and move forward with it. I generally learn more from my failures than I do when I succeed.
