Thank you! It's kinda like a Zodiac thing...it's part of a story that I am writing. Dragons in my story get their elemental powers based on the phase of the moon they are born on.

Say, did you hear what Saban and Bandai decided to do? They decided to end their partnership in the production of Power Rangers Merchandise (Starting in 2019)... crazy, right. You know, this might actually change how the show is because Bandai did have quite a say in how Power Rangers would be produced and what would be put in the show, especially in terms of what seasons would be adapted these days.Β
It's not like it would be impossible for this to work out; Saban was able to get Kenner toys to develop VR Troopers merchandise in the west, despite Bandai producing Metal Heroes merchandise in Japan.

So... I would like your opinion on this idea for a TV show:
Revised IDEAS: Dynamo Franchise
This concept is based on Kamen Rider with a little bit of Super Sentai thrown in. The best way to describe it is... it's like that one scene in Ninninger where AkaNinger grows in size to battle a monster (one of the few good scenes in that show, in my eyes)... so, basically, take Kamen Rider, but throw in giant monster battles with Kyodai-Kaiju fights similar to that scene in Ninninger... that's what this is.
While I am working on a story treatment for it, it is a revised version of of an old TV show concept that I never really could make work due to it either just not functioning properly or being too similar to Power Rangers.

How can Power Rangers Work on Nickelodeon?
So yeah... I don't really think a Network shift will do any good and I think Nick is a good home for Power Rangers, but it's just not adapting very well... and I offered a few suggestions on how to deal with that in my thesis... in essay format, of course... but it is one of my weaker essays.

Your pilot is VERY rough. I can't complain too much about the characters, they seem alright. 80% of the voice acting is ok. I could tell you had a little trouble editing the voice lines. The animation . . . oh boy is it very rigid. Not gonna lie, people are gonna make fun of this solely for the animation. You may want to take notes from Piemations. The animation needs to be improved for certain. And the story might have potential.
Your series is NOT The Nutshack or Rapsittie Street Kids by any stretch of the imagination. But it still needs some work done to improve it. The truth is, if it had better animation, it would be an ok pilot.

Question; as you know, Power Rangers is currently on Nickelodeon... and many people are not happy that it is, but I don't know why.
What do you think about Power Rangers being on Nickelodeon; do you like that it's on Nickelodeon or not and explain why you think so? Also, I would like to know what you think people are upset about with Nickelodeon Rangers.
I'm going to make a post about Nickelodeon Rangers later.

Well, I honestly don't mind Power Rangers being on Nickelodeon. I only care that the shows and episodes are good. Like Dino Charge. I haven't seen Ninja Steel, so I don't know if it's good. I think people are upset because it seems that Nickelodeon is hiring bad writers for Samurai and Megaforce. Perhaps those people may really just be nostalgia-blind.

Bad writing... maybe there are bad writers in Megaforce and Samurai, although I would pin the blame on Tzachor for massive complications in production, primarily with his overt Sentai loving.

So... I decided to take a look at that... certain Kamen Rider show that hit American Airwaves... yes, I am talking about the EVIL Masked Rider by Saban.
Seeing how I love Kamen Rider now, it was almost impossible to resist looking at this ridiculous TV show (I also wanted to know how NOT to adapt Kamen Rider for my Speed Rider shows). Honestly... I find the show fairly entertaining; it is practically a watered down version of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, lacking all of the intense music, fights, and zords... but the fights were still cool and I actually liked the campiness (I mean, the Kamen Rider portions, while dumbed down, are still cool in my eyes).
Now, there is no denying that this show suffered from massive tone whiplash between the intense Kamen Rider portions and the Stewart Family portions; it goes from light-hearted comedy to killing Dex violently almost in a snap... which is weird. Along with this, it's also clear that fights were underwhelming (like caused by no surviving props from a 6-year-old show) and episodes tend to have editing errors in them.
Even then, Masked Rider seems fascinating to me for both good and bad reasons... mostly bad and related to the bizarre editing... I actually watched most of this show by now and... really, I'm liking this show quite a bit.

I guess I'm not gonna look at Masked Rider, then. I sometimes think about adapting Kamen Rider Gaim for US audiences. I haven't seen the show (yet) besides henshin and finisher clips. I would like to see Kamen Rider be more popular with American audiences today now.

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest watching it... it's just terrible; unless you like situational comedies or you just like bad stuff, it's not really a show I see many people enjoying.
I've seen a bit of Gaim; it's looks weird, but it's pretty good and unique for a Heisei Rider series... fairly unique... it has a good chance of hitting American shores if a company wants Kamen Rider in the West.
I did have a few treatments for Kamen Rider in mind that I would REALLY love for you to check out and give an opinion on:

It's not a Kamen Rider Dub, but a cut-n-paste localization with the western actors-stock footage thing... with a different name. It's not perfect and I'm still trying to iron out problems with the shows, but I do want Kamen Rider to become popular in the west too... and I want to be the one who does so... although under a different name.

I am really loving Kamen Rider... what is your favorite and least favorite Kamen Rider show (Showa or Heisei) and why?
For me, my favorite is actually Ex-Aid; the game concept is really cool, the riders are cool, and it's visually cool. My least favorite is probably Fourze; it's too goofy for me and the high school setting is just... not cool in my eyes.
I also should say that, looking at some of the early Heisei Riders, the visuals are terrible; I'll excuse the CGI, but the footage is so weird... the soap opera look, combined with the overly sharp or grainy appearance, really kills it for me... but the story and characters of those shows are not bad.

My favorite Kamen Rider show is Ex-Aid. I just think that everything about it works. Can't say I've seen too much of the other shows besides henshin and finisher clips. My least favorite season is Ghost. I just couldn't bring myself to watch the entire series. Ghost does have some good designs, though, but they pale in comparison to Ex-Aid.

So, Super Sentai... how's that going for you?
For me, I have lost interest in Super Sentai entirely; this recent trend of making Sentai extremely goofy and childish, starting with Kyoryuger, really killed it for me... I mean, I don't mind comedy, but there are thresholds and these newer seasons went beyond those thresholds. I mean, the characters are ridiculous, the fight scenes are ridiculous, and it's just too much noise and loudness in the visuals and music; people complain that Power Rangers talks too much, but the Sentai practically just has too much noise in general (both visual and audio). The only Season I really liked since Kyoryuger was Zyuohger and that's only because they toned it down, but Kyuranger is looking like a season I might not like again.
Not only that, but the Sentai fans are just being obnoxious and insulting; aside from unfairly blasting Power Rangers (because that's the hipster thing to do), but they're practically kicking people out of the franchise, saying that if they don't like the goofiness, then they can screw off because the franchise is for kids (it's the stupid "it's for kids" argument). I know Sentai is for kids, but these newer seasons are practically alienating other fans outside of that demographic and keeping them out.
I heard that they're just trying to replicate the success of Kyoryuger, but it clearly doesn't work for these seasons; these newer seasons are doing terribly in both ratings AND sales (Ninninger had the worst sales since Gekiranger and Timeranger). It only worked with Kyoryuger because it was Dinosaur themed and kids love Dinosaurs.Β
So generally, the "make Sentai goofy" trend killed my interest in the franchise and I don't really feel like watching full seasons anymore, especially since these fans are complete jerks. I saw my fair share of Kyuranger and made up my opinions; it's another Kyoryuger skin. Right now, the spot for my favorite Tokusatsu is occupied by Kamen Rider, which despite some average seasons, is pretty decent and keeps the goofiness under control.

I still like Super Sentai. Even though I only saw some clips of Kyuranger, I still think it's gonna be ok. Personally, I now value Kamen Rider slightly more than Super Sentai. I like both pretty much because of the toys.
I wonder what Super Sentai would do with a Halloween theme like Kamen Rider Kiva . . .Β

Yeah, the merchandise does look good for both shows (I actually like Wizard and Ghost's stuff for Kamen Rider and Ninninger's merchandise looks cool).
I'd say we'd have a Vampire-themed series (Vampire suits, collectibles based on teeth, bat morphers, etc.), albeit with some Frankenstein elements thrown in, and the 6th Ranger may add in a Werewolf theme. Basically, Kiva, but replaced Kamen Rider with Super Sentai.

Have you heard; Toei is planning a 3-part web mini-series (I think) that will fuse together Kamen Rider with Super Sentai. They're going to call it "Kamen Sentai Gorider," in reference to Goranger. Honestly, I like the direction of this... even if it's a bit strange.
I believe Super Sentai and Kamen Rider should have been one and the same from... when Super Sentai was taking off; this "Kamen Sentai" should have kept the themes and aesthetics of Kamen Rider, but fuse it with the team aspects, giant mecha, and many weapons from Super Sentai... along with being annualized. With the themes of Kamen Rider fused with the giant mecha and teams of Super Sentai, that would have made the greatest thing ever.
But enough about me, what about you; what do you think about this Kamen Sentai?

Honestly, I'm all up for a series that combines the aesthetics and themes of Kamen Rider with the team and mecha from Super Sentai. I wonder if they would ever mix Neo-Heisei Riders with modern Sentai teams. Like Kamen Rider Wizard with Kyoryuger. The show of ultimate badness!!! XD hahahahahahaha
