I was never too into the adoptables so I wouldn't have the faintest idea, either. A lot of my friends on here were though, so they'd pop up on my inbox quite a bit.

Interesting. I think a lot of bird based adopts are popular? Also dogs. 

I just like the simple cute ones though. So many egg shapes though I have regrets.

More like creature with oval shapped heads. 
It's an endless cycle of going round and round to get the shape correct.

That's kind of the same pain I go through when drawing heads from a portrait view. You just keep going round and round until you finally get the shape you want.

It's good practice but yes, just circles for days until you actually get that shape you want.
