Hiya! Here's that repost:
I like to make grid systems to get my faces accurate. I use Q-tips, cotton balls, blending stumps, toilet paper, and car shams (my favorite) to get textures. (Test these before hand.) Side by side strokes for hair and feathers and I use eraser methods as well.

Great drawings, you have to kill that monster called "artist block". Personally, I don't really think it even exists - I don't want to pick u a camera sometimes but even thought it appears to be block, it is from sheer laziness of mine... Sometimes your passion feels too much like hard work and that is when you don't even want to look at it for some time!
Advice being simply advice, I still haven't managed to overcome it just like that

& that's very true! I've been trying to get around to drawing something, but everything else seems more interesting & I say "I'll get to it later.' So yes, laziness is a factor! lol Picking up a pencil sometimes feels like hard work even tho I love drawing, weird how that works!
