I found out that hyenas belong to the suborder feliformia and not really to the mustelidae which belong to the suborder caniformia .

So they're unfortunately not related to weasels. :c

To be honest, I find it kinda lame they just make "dog-like" and "cat-like" categories like that, lol. When I see a bear I don't think "GOLLY, THAT'S A BIG DOGGY."

Well, now that I think about it, the book was pretty old, I mean, the photos in it were black-and-white. Guess I should have known better than to trust outdated info!
