Sure, I can give you a hand. Basically, you don't want the legs to be separate from the body piece and attached, say, by buttons or joints, but you don't want them in a lying position, like your pattern?
If it's the one you uploaded, I can give you a red line of the pattern pieces and describe what you need to do? ^^

That's right, I want the dragon to stand up. The top part of the thigh (so to speak) I'd like attached to the dragon's body, but I don't know how to do it right without needing to use buttons or sew the leg on afterward. And how to avoid the legs from sticking right out from the body!

Just wanted to tell you that I am loving the CYOA contest! Although I have to admit that your writing is so real that sometimes your descriptions of things make me feel uneasy and a couple of times, nauseous (i.e. moths on toast). That is meant as a compliment!
When I have more time, I will go back and read all the chapters of the Diaries of LaGuardia...

And thank you for the compliment on my writing. I never feel happy with the work I put up (definitely my harshest critic, ask Esh XD ) so to hear people say they like it, does give me a little boost.
The moths on toast is actually from a Victorian Era book, written by a noble. With the division between rich and poor so wide, many of the poor were actually starving, because they couldn't afford simple food stuffs. So he wrote a book, explaining how you can eat bugs and the benefits of doing so. It's actually quite fantastic. It's online, as well. Google "Why not eat Insects".
