But if it was anything else, it would be after:

How did you find Gabrielle?

Comment as-tu trouvé le FILM?
How did you find the MOVIE?

And also, in English the verb 'to do' is used to create other tenses most of the time "I didn't run", while in French we use 'to have' "Je n'ai pas couru." It has the same sense as 'to do' in that context owo

Finally, yes, verb and pronoun are inversed when asking a question xD Just like in Engrish

But if you say "Did you speak to her?" it isn't a direct object because the "to" makes it a preposition?
So that would be like "Est-ce que tu parles a elle?"
