When Bush retired, he left politics. He has a nice ranch in Texas. He likes to work and play outdoors, to paint, and to watch baseball.

I think it is good that a politician can go back to a more normal life. Many politicians stay far too long!

As far as I knows Bush has spent a lot of time in his ranch during his presidency.
Some people actually said something like they voted for him, because he seemed like a person they would greet in their neighborhood
I don't know for sure, of course since I'm not living there, but I agree that politicians should have the a normal life after retirement.

It's okey to think that
I'm not gonna lie, he was portrayed to me mostly in a negative way through documentaries like Michael Moore's, but I don't think that he is a bad person and I'm really opened to see different opinions, after all, he was president for 8 years, he must have improved the country in some way to gain that support from the people

Everyone in American media and art - everyone - likes the opposition party and demonizes his party. So you will see poor portrayals. But he was better liked than his election opponents
