I hope that you enjoy yourself here.
With millions of members from all over the world, there will be a lot of people with the same artistic likes that you have. There are really three good ways to get known. Firstly, you can join a group, or as many as you want. At the top of this page, beside the green "Submit" button is one that says "More". Point at this and on the drop-down menu select groups. Follow the prompts and you will soon find what you are looking for. There is also a chat room. The second way, if you do not fancy a group, is just to start looking at other people's sites, and to leave comments or even llamas. People will come and see who you are, and probably leave a comment and/or llama. Sooner or later you will be invited to join a group, the choice is then yours. The third way is to go back to the drop-down menu and select either "Random Deviant" or "Random Deviation" and see where you end up.
There is a great forum if you have any questions, or just ask someone you have met up with on Deviant Art.
The main thing is to have fun.
