I saw all of them. I barely notice that you wear glasses. Lol. I do too. Did I ever tell you how pretty you look in RL? Probably not cuz You look so pretty and beautiful in RL. ^\\\v///^ Your English is good but with a Viet accents. That's ok, I have one too. My prounciation in English when I talk is horrible. I do wear glasses and thanks on the comment on how I looked pretty, but my dad said I'm a little chubby yes. I'm not even from Vietnam but I live in US >.< I still got the Vietnamese accents when I speak Vietnamese and English. English is so hard for me to speak in hard pronunciation and I have to repeat it again because I need to sound right. I have speech delays and hearing loss. I got the hearing loss from my mom probably.Β

Welcome. I don't think you look chubby. You're perfectly normal as usual. Same here, people call me skinny since I look all bony and stuff but I'm been working out but people still call me that. Β Yeah it's really hard to learn English when your native language isn't English. Yeah for school I would get a B in English, but I speak lost of it. Well I get yelled by both of my parents because of my hearing loss but they're not angry. Well here in the US is different because there's a lot of chubby and obese people here and there. They got plenty of food to eat but I blame their fast food restaurant. I also love Vietnamese and Japanese food (I've been to a Japanese restaurant once with my friends) because I love my mom's cooking most of the time.
My native language is English but I have hard time pronouncing some hard words and other not because of the speech delay. I fluently speak Vietnamese because both of my parents are Vietnamese, but my Vietnamese speaking skills need more work on vocabularies and grammar. Too bad in NY they don't have Vietnamese as a foreign language, only Italian, Chinese, Spanish, and French XD. You're half Vietnamese and Japanese right?Β

I see. You're a New Yorker and live in NY? What city? If you wanna know mine I'm Californian live in California. The city I'm in is LA. Lots of Viet, Asians, and Hispanic in my community. Well Japanese isn't my native language but yes I'm part Japanese but never embrace or accept my Jap blood so no I'm fluent in Vietnamese only. But I can barely say the numbers and greeting and basics in Japanese. I'm trying to learn it though. Since my grandma is Japanese.

I love California because I always wanted to live there and plus, it's near Vietnam and rest of the countries of Asia too X3. I also love Japanese people and the language too. I listened to J-pop and Vocaloid almost everyday. I also know very few words in Japanese like cute, goodbye, hello, heart, miracle, mystery, evil, yes,etc. I know how their grammar structure works too.

yep yep but we sometimes get earthquakes a lot. Lol. Yeah it's pretty close to Asia. Really? I do too. You watch J-Drama? Well my dad Β is born in Nam and raised there. Came back to Nam few years after the Vietnam War married my mom who is also Viet. Borned in Nam and raised Japan for 2 years. Came back to Vietnam and lived there for many years until I came to the US in 2001. I speak to my parents in Viet but never to my grandmother. Well sometimes actually. But she can't understand some words. So yeah I'm trying to learn some for my grandmother. But when I say it, she laugh at me because of my prounciation.. But at least she is happy to hear her grandchildren learn Japanese. My older sister is very fluent in both plus Korean alittle. She and some of my male cousins can translate what we all say in Japanese. But I believe my grandmother is trying to learn some Vietnamese too.

I lived in the Β 2 story house that cost like 100000 dollars >.< My dad is almost finally paying the house off soon in couple of years
Believe me, I've been hit by a hurricane once in my life and that hurricane name is Sandy. Well my mom watch K-Drama in Vietnamese and my dad likes to watch Hong Kong movies in Vietnamese sub. He brought lots of DVDs to watch it. All I watch is J-movies and J-Horror because they're so good. I listen to alot of Vocaloid songs and I got my 10 years old sister involved with Japanese stuff. XD Not only that I listen to Vietnamese music (Paris by Night, music from Vietnam, Ly Hai, Thanh Thao, Xuan Mai) Β everyday just because my brother wants to watch his stuff. I prefer to watch it in sub because I can't understand Japanese. I'm also trying to learn anime as well too in drawing. My Spanish friend is learning Japanese too by himself because he wants to become a mangaka one day in Japan.
As for my parent's background history, they both escaped Vietnam from the war and have me here in America and rest of my sibling. My two oldest uncle and my grandpa from my dad's side fought in the war and survived, but sadly my grandpa died from sickness. He was a general in the army.Β

I know. I heard in the news and it was horrible. I feel bad for those living in the East Coast and hope things will get better. Lol, my parents also watch the same things as your parents. Very interesting. I like any those kind of Japanese movies and tv shows. We have some stuff in come on my friends. Yeah same here, some of my friends wanted to learn Japanese too.
YEah, all Vietnamese people have some history about their Vietnam War past. I have some in WWII in the Pacific. My grandmother's brother was colonel of the Japanese Imperial Army that was stationed in Vietnam when Japan occupied Vietnam. Too bad he died in Okinawa in 1945, but her other brother(she has 3 brother and 2 sister)survived the war and returned back to Hiroshima in 1955(the older one returned after the atomic bomb of Hiroshima when Japan was under American occupation. The younger one stayed with her and the two sisters.) But that is very interesting about your family history. Hope we get to know each other more.Β

So far I watched Japanese movies like The Grudge Series and Nobody Knows..sometimes I like to watch Jackie Chan movies because he's epic
Wow very interesting about WW2 side of the story. Β And my family's story isn't that amazing like yours though.Β
My mom escaped from Vietnam by the boat to Luxembourg I think. I don't know too much of my mom because she speaks only Vietnamese and her English is very bad. My dad escaped Vietnam by boat and got separated from his brothers and sisters. He went to Malaysia, lied his real age and goes to Alaska to get to America and then he uses the plane to go to upstate New York. He studied in Syracuse and then he go to Long Island and work there to send money to his families in Vietnam. He also went to Luxembourg where he met my mom and her Filipino friend.
That's all of the story but my dad is still brave.
