According to my stats, I've been here 2 years, but I've only been active for one year. I made an account to save favorites at first. I submitted my first very bad drawing about a year ago. Learning from the various artists here on DA, and reading tutorials, I see improvement coming along. It's slow, but I know it's there

I practice by drawing, but when I'm bored in class, I do some small sketches in my notebooks. It helps, those small "practice" sessions, and sure beats boredome

well, common smilies work. If you take the following without spaces, you will get the emoticon on the right
= D (without the space)
= P
= (
^ ^ ;

All the = can be replaced with : (it works the same)

Some other stuff are specific to DA. You can find a bunch here: [link]

Others are made using plz accounts (accounts created solely to use the icon). An example would be for that, just find the account you need, and put :iconnameofaccount: (without the underline).

This also works for putting the icon of another deviant (aka DeviantArt member). For example, putting your icon would be or :iconsmileybug313: (I put the underline so it doesn't get automatically transformed into the icon.

For things like underlines, italics, bold, etc, normal html codes work (just google them, like html italics and they'll tell you to put a before and a after the text you want in italics (again, underlined so it isn't applied).
