Okay, so the think Is that nearing the midway of the story, Emala, Daichi, Kagero and Kasumi are captured by the monarchy. 
Emala sudenly goes missing while they others wait, she later return s covered In bruises and cuts and faints right In front of them.
One of the guards comes to threathen them if they try to escape, so Daichi looses It when he realizes that he Is one of the guards that beat up Emala, as he is holding her Templary. So he walks up to him, holds him by the neck and tells him "Touch one of my friends again and Ill rip your guts out, tell Mokuma about this...and Ill break you neck"

We needed a badass Daichi sooner or later

Actually, I can see Daichi doing that lol 
He's nice and friendly, but he's VERY protective of his friends. Like you can insult him and all but if you hurt his friends, you're toast. And he does have a somewhat darker side to his personality that I'll explain later on (mainly about his childhood, his life before the orphanage and how he was treated in it once he came to that place)

I still have to develop Emalas backstory, but the main part Is that a big porting of her family, including her father, Edmond and her mother Amica (She was from Belgium) where Gypsies who lived In Marseilles (Coast of France), once Monokuma took hold of the Monarchy, as representative of the queen, he started to take hold of the country. 

Emala,s family moved to Paris, where she realized that many people, including Gypsies, disabled, religious people and those who supported the "Hope" side of the family, were being executed or sold to hard labor. One night, her father decided to flee the country, so Emala did not suffer repercusions from him, as he was gypsy. He was quickly captured and executed. Amica was also quickly located as she hid Emala in a box in the middle of the street. She tried to run but was quickly murdered as one of the guards was carrying a rifle. Emala saw the whole thing unfold as she was hiding. Futhermore, the guards burnt down her house as Emala was able to escape. 

Later, a mysterious man found her (They guy who tells her that they are not coming back), he decided to help her out and carried her, taking her to a door in a Orphanage. After her had knocked on the door, the man dissapeared and one of the people who was taking care of the place, saw her waiting on the steps. 

The mysterious man, was the spirit of hope, AKA Izuru Kamukura

Poor Ema, having to deal with those things from such a young age ;~; she deserves a hug, really. (also I see what you did there with the name of her father )
Thankfully things will get somewhat better once she meets the others at the orphanage and start supporting each other
(I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT I- ok I'll stop :'D It's nice to see Izuru doing nice things, specially when those things don't end up helping the most despairing event in human history )
