Well, I had a look at your gallery and I must say, for first drawings, this is quiet good. You seem to have the basic idea of anatomy, shading and linework.
My first advice would be to not use lined paper. It sucks to have a picture obscured and interrupted by some lines.
Secondly, what device do you use to capture the images. It does not really matter what you really use, even the best scanners won't capture the picture correctly. The point you need to do some digital editing. Nothing radical, just some change to contrast, brightness or saturation can make a shade of colour more vibrant and not so bleak. I recommend using GIMP 2 since it's free, there are many tutorials for it and I myself use it for all my needs.
Lastly, the coloring, something many artist won't tackle first time they hold a pencil. It is nice to see it but make sure you make it more clear so that the lines of colour will disappear. I can quiet clearly see how you moved with the green pencil in the Grinch drawing since there are green lines of colour on his face instead of a uniform shade of green.

Keep at it.

I saw your comment on Solar Sands' video, my main critique for your work is; Never draw on lined paper, it looks gross/messy. Secondly, when you colour something make sure it looks blended/smooth, you can do this by rubbing your finger on the pencil marks or you could buy paper smudge pens. Your current colouring method of scribbling looks messy. There you go.

And I only use line paper for pixelated art. But if you're talking about notebook paper, that's because I don't always have printer paper

I don't think I'm scribbling but ok.

Mind if I leave a critique?

I suggest you look at references to help improve anatomy, and use bases as well to help (I recommend shadow-bases) but you're very good at trying your hardest (seriously, most of artists I see half-ass their work you actually work hard).

But I recommend you use bases and references. they will help you get better at art. and, I won't mind you using my art for referencing (as long credit is given).

Have a wonderful day/night ^^
