Hi Aimee, I haven't been on DA for a while, so it was a nice surprise to see your message. I'm still taking pictures, but haven't uploaded any new ones recently. I must get round to doing it. I've found some good graffiti in Manchester and I'm planning to go to France in the summer to follow up more leads!
What have you been up to? Have you finished your exams now? I hope you're confident that you did OK. Write soon and let me know how you're getting on.
Al

Hi Al, going to France sounds nice are the styles of work there completely different to the graffiti works found in the UK? I must admit I haven't taken any new photos lately, I dont think there is anything interesting to take photos of in England! But I'm going back to Spain for the summer, so I might take my camera. Do you ever return to Spain?
I haven't been up to much, I have my last exam on wednesday and then I'm finally finished! I've been given an offer for Biology by University of Kent so hopefully I'll get in. Biology wasn't my first choice of course, I originally wanted to do Speech and Language therapy but I wasn't accepted for that, but the two aren't that different.
Are you still teaching?
Take care
Aimee

Hi Aimee, you must be relieved now your exams are finished. I hope you get into the university you want. I had to go through clearing and ended up going to Hatfield, which I had never heard of before!
The graffiti in Angouleme, the town I want to visit, is different because a lot of it is optical illusions. Fences that stop at solid brick walls are painted on the wall, so they look like they go on and on. That sort of thing.
Yes, I'm still teaching. I teach a Y5/6 class in Cheshire. I've just broken up, so the summer is stretching out ahead, which is a nice feeling.
I last went to Spain last summer. I'm not going again until next year now. I'd like to stay in Granada, which is my favourite Spanish city. This summer, I have to decorate my new house and sort out the garden, which is a mess!
I hope you enjoy the summer. Keep in touch
Al

Hi Al
It was nice having no more exams but the novelty of the summer holidays wore off very quickly, so I'm looking forward to going to University and having something new to learn. Unfortunatly, I had to go through Clearing as well. On the day the exam results were published they missed one of my marks, there was an X instead, so it took a week for the University to recieve my missing mark. I was 10 UCAS points short of my offer and was rejected, it was a pain trying to find somewhere as all the good places were gone. But now I'm doing Social Scienes at the University of Kent (I was originally doing Biology)but I am just glad I managed to find a place when so many other students haven't. I move into University accomodation on the 17th of September and start a week or so after.
Did you find time to visit Angouleme during the summer holidays? I like optical illusions, I think the artists are very talented especially when it's created using spray cans.
That's good you're still teaching if you enjoy it, so do you prepare them for SATs and things?
Oh I spent almost all of summer in Spain, well 5 weeks, and it was nice to see sunshine! My mum and step dad still live there so I go over when I can. I think the only time I have been to Granada was when I flew in to the airport but suprisingly I haven't been to many places outside of Andulucia - I'd like to go to Madrid sometime.
Can you still speak Spanish? Apart from the accent, my spanish has deteriorated rapidly.
I hope you enjoyed the summer.
Aimee

Heylo
Sorry I haven't been in touch in a while, lots of stuff been happening. Just had AS level exams, so lots of fun there lol.
Thanks for saying you like my photos, need to keep up with it though, just trying to find time to fit it in now. It's good that you never really lose the ability to take photos though, which is a good thing.
So how are you?
I like some of your new photos, the sculpture with holy ghost is interesting, where was it taken?
Anyway, i hope you're well. Take care

I'm fairly sure you don't need to write anything, I just wanted your permission before I put it into my skin. If I do, however, I'll get back to you. Many thanks.

Would you mind if I used your Pippi graffiti art for a tattoo sleeve? I've been looking for pictures of her, and have tried drawing my own, but I'm completely enthralled with your version and your use of colors.
Pretty please!

Hiya, I'm so sorry it took so long for me to reply! I swear I did, but then again my memory's terrible lately...which is definetly not a good sign at my age!
Yeah, I got my results, was quite disappointed, but everything happens for a reason, so I'm sure I'll survive...
I got an A in Spanish, a B in: English lit, english lang and ICT, a C in: Music and science...and an E in history and maths... =/ which was quite a shock, especially in History.
So I'm going to a different school now (because they couldnt take me on with those grades) and I'm now a full time college student ....(sounds so cool to me
).
Anyway, how are you?
What have you been up to?
And no, I'm sorry, I don't know how to add pictures to the Deviant Information...maybe you have to have a paid for account for that?
Not sure though... =/

Hi. I agree with you about everything happening for a reason... I'm sure that sooner or later you'll realise you're better off at the school where you are now. Is it in the same place or do you have to travel further?
What have I been up to? Well, one of my goals for 2008 is to get in shape so I joined a gym last week. I've been to a few fitness classes but they are INSANE (like speeded-up TV) and I need to get fitter before I go back!
I've just started teaching my new Y4 class. They seem really small after teaching Y5, and I'm having to remember to speak more slowly and to speak less.
Finally, after 6 MONTHS of waiting, my 2nd camera arrived. I'm looking forward to taking pictures with it again. I went to the balloon festival at Llangollen in Wales last week, so I'll try and upload some of the pictures I took soon.
Anyway, good luck with college. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Hello! Yes, I went to Valencia during Holy Week but just to see the fallas and the mascletas. And a couple years ago I went to the big burning parties in Alicante during the summer. So much fun, highly recommend that!

Helloooo
Yep, all the exams are done and dusted now, just have to wait until August to find out the results!
But without school I find that I'm so bored!
I would of thought I'd be happy with nothing to do but Im even considering moving back earlier just so i cant start work (and that's something I never thought Id say).
I really need to take new photos, some of them are getting a bit boring... but in Rochester where I'm moving, there's losts of things to take photos of so I think I'll be well away .
How are you?
I hope everything's going well over there.
-Aimee.

Hi Aimee! I'm fine. I've been scanning infrared negatives today and it reminded me that I hadn't been on DeviantArt for a while. I'm not sure what to do with them yet, but I'll upload a couple so you can see how they turned out. I'm still waiting for two cameras to be repaired so I haven't taken many pictures for the last few months. I'm sure you've done well in your exams - but let me know when you get your results, OK?

Hiyaaa
The infrared negatives look quite cool, i think they give everything quite a spooky and uneasy feel to the photo - but then again that might just be me...
I havent taken any pictures at all lately, just havent found the time really, been busy with college induction, exams and now have all the hassle of moving, plus my college gave me so much summer work to do, which is just evil really so am gonna have a busy summer!
I think i get my results the 10th of august (well, they are published online that date) but not sure if i'll be able to see them that day because I'll be at a sort of festival thingy...but i'll probably try and find a net cafe to see them...dont think id be able to stand not knowing the results when they come out!
Anyway, everything is good and should be uploading pictures sooon, if i can find anything interesting!
Adios

Hiya and no worried about the comment, i didnt see yours until today...shows how observant i am...
What happend to your cameras?
And yeah thats a really cool idea actually I'll look into that.
I'm on study leave at the moment, only have 11 days until my first exam , we've already done our spanish oral exam and the I.C.T practicals, which would have been good if only i hadnt of had a blonde moment and got confused with vertical and horizontal.. =S
Anyway, i hope your cameras are fixed soon and you're having a nice time...
Speak soon!

Hi Aimee. Glad you liked Mother Earth. I was frustrated that it wasn't possible to stand right in front of it because there wasn't enough space... Now I'm living in the English countryside I haven't seen much graffiti, but I'm waiting for an infra red film to be processed and there might be some interesting shots on that. Did you ever try the ice idea?
Hiya, thats probably the only place there isnt graffiti in England then!
Infa-red film? Sounds good, I'm looking forward to seeing it .
And yeah i did try the ice, it didnt turn out that well but it was a sort of rushed attempt. If i have time I'll try it again, but i have exams soon so not much time to do anything really...
I hope everything is well over there
