Are you self-taught? I saw an ad for a free art course and I've been thinking of taking it, but other than that I haven't had any lessons.

Yes I am. I've taught myself all styles of art out of curiosity and, well, sometimes boredom. I've never gone to university for any of this. You could take lessons. But there's hundreds and thousands of free online hints, tips, and tutorials to learn from. That's how I've done it!
