Hows the street and graffiti art in Springfield?

ThunderDemocracy In reply to szc [2008-08-09 15:12:24 +0000 UTC]
No problem.
I just moved to Springfield less than a month ago and I'm yet to see any street art. I haven't explored much on the north side (the more crime-infested side of town), though, but I'm sure there would be some there. The side of town I live on wouldn't have street art.

Heh, whatever works.
So, how's life in Japan? Was the move a drastic change from Hong Kong?

snowunmasked In reply to ThunderDemocracy [2008-08-03 20:45:38 +0000 UTC]
We are actually not in Japan But we will go back there eventually. I want to live where Keith lived in Northern Honshu.
We are right now in Vegas, believe it or not, and quite enjoying it. Will be here for a little while longer before we probably move some place else.
Nothing is drastic for me anymore.
Just exciting

Man, I came back broke the last time I was in Vegas, and that was before I could gamble. But yeah, it's a cool town, just got to be smart with your cash.
Sounds like you guys are just living pretty spontaneously, which is something I'm quite jealous of. I guess the big thing stopping me from doing that is the lack of money to do that.

When you want it, bad enough, you'll be getting it
I honestly don't want to live here forever though. Don't really like living in the US, to be honest, compared to other places. It's nice though because of the atmosphere, and we rarely leave the house anyway.

Yep, my strategy is annoy the employers until they see that I'm committed and give me a job, which has worked pretty well in the past. It just takes time. I've got cash now, but I won't for long unless I start getting some sort of income.
I could see what you mean, though. I've never lived outside the States but I've visited places that have made me ask myself if I should take a risk and leave everything I've ever known. In the end, though, this country has it's problems and things need to change but I wouldn't live anywhere else.

There are always problems and things needing to be fixed everywhere all over the world. Nothing is ever going to change that, save for Armageddon
What sort of work are you looking into, if I may ask?

ThunderDemocracy In reply to snowunmasked [2008-08-03 22:03:29 +0000 UTC]
I know, I just tend to want to change things instead of watching them get worse.
I'm looking for something simple like electronics retail, which is one of the few things I'm good at (next to being a security guard, which wouldn't work out because of college). I eventually would like to become a tattoo artist (which has been something I've been interested in since my first, years ago) but I have no clue how I'll get to that point since I can't draw all that well.

Yeah I think one would need to be able to draw fluidly in order to do tattoo work
I wouldn't know though, actually, since I've never seen you draw or paint

Heh, trust me, it's not that great. Every design I've brought into a tattoo studio to be professionally redrawn has gotten a few laughs at least. After all the tattoos I have, though, I know a few tricks about how inks blend with the skin, such as greywash. But hey, this is just an eventual thing, I'll have years to brush up on my drawing 'skills'.
As for my drawings, you haven't seen them for a reason. I'm not a bad painter, just somewhat mediocre.

I has no tattoos, so I know virtually nothing about them and their creation.

lol I care not.
It's always going to be a vote between a douche and a turd, as South Park so eloquently put.

Yeah, I just hate how politics have become about choosing the lesser of the two evils. This country was founded on ideals that are more than that. Ugh, but just the same, people need to vote. Eh.
An old friend from high school just came over to see my roommate and I, which was good. I don't know anybody in this city so it's good to have company.

I think the new film Swing Vote is just preposterous. The US voting system doesn't even work that way.
To think that one man's vote actually makes a difference.
Go the Mid-West, for not giving a fuck anymore.
Good to hear You're on Skype
But then you're not.

ThunderDemocracy In reply to snowunmasked [2008-08-05 03:01:05 +0000 UTC]
One man's vote doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to. I think the electoral college is pointless and it needs to be dissolved, yet I believe people should stand up to the government and do something about it when something is bull shit, not just give up. I think movies like Swing Vote and Man of the Year are the film industry's pathetic way of pushing people into action, but more drastic measures need to be done than simply voting. Bah, I hate to scream revolution, but it wouldn't hurt.
Yeah, I got your message. I didn't get up until five today but I just leave my computer on all the time.
