nah, I enjoy doing the shoots... it's something that I work on, though I have a long way to go...

The thing you're really missing at the moment is lighting technique. You're missing on your exposure to some degree too, which in some cases causes you to lose your on details like the hair with a dark-haired model, but lighting is the larger issue. If you can get that down and get some better contrast your images will pop a lot more.

Yeah... been working on that... most of my recent photography work hasn't been posted... a lot of my stuff was lit with just basic house lighting and not much of an understanding. I've been getting advice from a couple photographer friends and hopefully it will help

If you're talking to some others they may have already suggested this, but you can get some cheap strobes off Amazon [link] and throw in a couple of softboxes [link] and some triggers [link] and you're on your way to a decent studio lighting set-up.

Because I'd be looking to use these more than once, possibly on more than one woman and I don't have anyone particular in mind, I'd need something that could be somewhat adjustable, able to fit necks ranging from about 13.5 to 15 inches around (which I think is pretty typical for most women, you may know better than I), while still looking good.
