Oh no way. What ya doing all the way out there? Not under any terrible circumstances I hope. As for myself I'm good - just been excessively busy as of late. My work load has nearly tripled at work, and by the time I get home I'm just mentally drained that I basically just eat, watch a little TV and go to bed. But things aren't bad - I hope you're doing alright.

I'm doing alright, got a lot of time to get stuff done. There are no terrible circumstances, it's because I'm in the military. I'm a Naval Reservist and I volunteered to do what is called IA duty. (IA means Individual Augmentation which also means that as a sailor I volunteered to be trained by the Army in combat duties to support the bulk of the Army.) I hope they'll let up on your busy schedule. I also hope you are staying healthy when you get the chance too.

P.S. As a guy who writes Mass Effect fan fiction, the IA training is great material for writing future chapters/stories. The time I have available or will have available will give me a chance to work on my other writing projects like one of them is something I already told you about (I think I did.) It's an episode of The Deadliest Warrior and the two contestants are John Shepard and Gordon Freeman and I'm more basing it around your story arc Salvation.

You mentioned a writing project but I don't think you mentioned it was a DW episode. I LOVED that show. Was so awesome - the ending fight scenes were always so darn cool. I can totally see something like that a Deadliest Warrior episode featuring Freeman and Shephard lol. I actually had sort of a similar idea for a short - maybe some sort of Virtual simulation is created to simulate the war against the Combine - so Shepard and Freeman both try it, Shepard blows Gordon's score out of the water, and Gordon makes some kind of comment about how "it's a little different when you're actually there" - and Shepard responds with his share of feats, such is fighting off Saren and the geth, the Collectors, etc. So they make a little wager. Freeman vs. Shepard in the simulation - each member is given control over 5 VI infantry troops. Shepard's will be combat trained alliance marines, Gordon's will be earth rebel militia. Knowledge of the terrain (home field advantage) will go to the rebels, but the alliance marines will have the edge in training. Shepard will also be given a virtual Mako whilst Gordon will be given a virtual captured Combine APC, and they just duke it out in the streets of wartorn city 17 all while avoiding Combine gunships and strider fire lol.
