As it happens, I was in Ulverston on Saturday night... watching my mate's band The Adventures of Loki... it's a strange place, Ulverston.

That's true I went out around some bars and a club with some mates once after sheep-dipping. We always got space at the bar and nearly cleared the dance floor in the club. Maybe something to do with the dip having soaked into our skin so we kind of smelt funny
Best Cumbrian sausage comes from there though 'Waberthwaites'!!!!

Mmm, sheep dipping... I used to work on a farm, glad I don't have to do that particular joy any more... still, marginally more fun than lambing season.

I must admit it's hard smelly work, the beer at the end was good though. The other thing I remember is the farmer who had this awful sheep dog that he used to have to keep on a rope cause it always went in the wrong direction and scattered the sheep everywhere.
