haven't been active on deviantArt for a while and decided to start over and create a new account leaving the old one deleted and done with.

I didn't stay at SCAD long (last fall quarter was a couple weeks long)
I didn't like it there and was quickly able to go to Ringling and am contently there to stay

Hey Vivi,

Do you remember Rachel Vaudruil? She is graduating at the end of this semester and she is thinking about moving to Savannah with a friend of hers. Could you send me an e-mail at my PBA address that I can forward to her, sharing your impressions of what it was like to live there? I was not all that fond of the city, despite what many people say about how beautiful it is.

Thanks!

I think I remember her but I'm afraid I don't have your email but you can contact me here on my site with your email so that I can respond back

I wasn't a big fan of Savannah I can understand visiting the city and enjoying it for a short time but it's a whole other thing to actually have to live there. Though for some who are into that kind of atmosphere it's fine for some but not all. I kind of compared it to Gotham city from the Batman series cause it can really take on that grim image at night. Especially of the cities dark and sad past.

Hi Vivi, so nice to hear from you! I just spent a week at SCAD at a teacher's seminar. The information was good, but I don't really think much of Savannah, and staying at O House was the pits. I'm glad to hear you got into Ringling, I hear they do a real good job with animation, which I know is real close to your heart.

I will pop in and check out your new account. I look forward to seeing what kind of art you have been creating.

I have discover that my love in animation lies within the visual development of ideas that goes in creating the animation, so I am now an illustrator with my focus on Concept Art and I still have a many things to learn, but that I suppose is part of the long journey and fun in life.

You may have seen some of my work on illustratorworld.com, or in the Illustrator WOW book or an Illustrator tips and tricks book whose exact name I cannot recall.

I saw in comments that you're an actual professor, Which is pretty fly since a education career in digital media is something i'm condsidering after getting my BFA in Graphic Design. I just wish the raster/vector teachers at my uni actually had a clue of what their doing [seriously they don't, "here learn it yourself don't ask me" attitudes are the norm], where as you have more than a clue, nice work!

I made my living as a graphic designer for 25 years before I started teaching, so I have a real world teaching approach that is unusual in academia. Most art professors go straight from grad school to teaching, which is OK if you are in the fine arts, but terrible if you are in the graphic arts.

Your stuff looks pretty good, so you must be learining something. Professionally I use Photoshop for image manipulation and Illustrator for logos and such. The illustrations I do are just for fun (scratch the surface of any graphic designer and you will find an illustrator wannabe).

If you have questions during your coursework feel free to contact me. I can't guarantee I will know the answers, but I will be happy to try. Keep fighting the good fight and good luck with your career.

Hi,
I love your deviations.
And when I watched your gallery and saw the WWII Pilot piece, it touched my mind that I used to see this pic before. And it's true. Your work had been featured in "The Adobe Illustrator CS Wow! Book". The book is very good. I've learnt a lot from it.
Quite a long comment.
Just want to say nice to meet you in Deviatart.
Your works and explanations are well-done.
Thanks.

Thanks for your kind words. the WWII pilot is actually one on my older things, ten years or so ago. My, time flies when you start to get older! Anyway, I am working on one with a similar theme using pictures I took of my son in a leather flying helmet. I had to twist his arm to pose, but he's a good looking kid and I am pleased with how it is coming along. Look for it in my gallery in a couple of weeks.

Lauren Bacall. Don't know anything about her and I guess I'm not the only one, but I love pin-ups and your art is great.

Keep it up.
