essentially you begin with a set ammount of experience to buy your abilities, once you chosen your abilities you're basically ready to go.

Combat is action point based. instead of specific actions each ability has a numeric value assigned to it. everyone begins combat with 100ap, you may have more or less depending upon your speed score, and you use your abilities.

You can also interrupt people's actions with an opposing action (offensive or defensive)
