My mom is from Taiwan...my Dad's a Chinese born in Vietnam, and his parents are from Guangdong.
So you can say I'm both, though I'm really not good, by any means, at speaking Cantonese. I can listen to a bit, and I can say a few basic stuff (Yes, no, Gotta go to the bathroom, I'm full, It tastes good etc) to talk with my Grandmother...but she's a little disappointed that I don't know the language well. ^_^;
