Have you tried not placing your face directly on the scanner bed, and moving your face slowly while the scan is taking place? Try it..?

Hmm, seems like a nice idea, i will try it. I have tried a similar thing but with a ruler, the top directly lying on the scanner while the other part it's away, looks kind of cool, i should upload those scans.
