Thank you so much for the favorite! It means a ton that you like my work. It'd mean so much if you'd stop by and check out more of my work or maybe even watch me? Have a beautiful day!

I should really be thanking you for creating such a deep piece! It really made me value my friendships and want to rekindle broken ones.
Keep up the work. ^-^

I doubt friendships can be rekindled once you have been so deeply hurt. People are unforgiving, take care and I do wish you luck.

Thank you, and I hope I can even with the odds against me. I do agree that the likelihood is slim.
I know that it then sounds silly for me to say this, but I want to love everyone in the world. No matter what, love them with all my heart, even when they do not want my company. The world has too much hate, and I don't want to take part in that when love is ten times better.
☺️

It really is. I love to read, and most of my classes in literature are pretty much reading. I highly recommend taking a few literature courses because it is a wonderful opportunity to meet so many wonderful and passionate students interested in writing or comparing literature. I say if you want to try it, go for it! (^-^)b

Well, I'm an architecture student.
And my course doesn't allow much time for things as trivial as hobbies
But I try to squeeze in some reading time ^.^
This might sound stereotypic of me, but being a literature student, you must totally dig classics?

I love architecture and absolutely love the classics from Shakespeare to Dante! I am so tempted to ask, do you have some favorites of your own?

CherryyGirll22 In reply to WriteBlu [2017-06-10 01:26:40 +0000 UTC]
I LOVE Shakespeare!
I've read a lot about Dante, and can't wait to read his Inferno.
Apart from them, I adore Jane Austin, Edgar Allan Poe and Margaret Mitchel, to name a few.
There's something about the way authors wrote back then, that's simply lost in modern literature.
What other genres do you like, apart from the good ol' classics?

I simply adore Poe! I actually wrote about him on my Tumblr WriteBlu ! Aside from classics, I'm really fond of a few new comers (in comparison) including Haruki Murakami. He has made me interested in surreal/supernatural writing juxtaposed with political and philosophical views. I also am fond of suspense/ mystery novels from Agatha Christie and historical fictions similar to Susanna Clarke's work called Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. 😁

Since I've asked you what you like, I think its only fair to inquire of the genres you absolutely despise?
I'm Karen, by the way, its quite a pleasure to meet a fellow reader as enthusiastic as yourself

I'm Fiore, and it is certainly a pleasure to meet an avid reader as well.
I suppose romance and adult novels never suited me. Although, occasionally I dabble with plays like a "Street Car Named Desire" or "The Woolgatherer" because the romance has depth to it. How about you?

I'm afraid I detest romance novels too.
No matter how different the plot might seem, they all seem so predictable and have the same stereotypical end.
I don't mind classic romance though. There is a certain grace and sentiment in it, that seems to have been replaced by vulgarity in modern day romance.
Ah, the old times. It must have been nice to be wooed. Unlike these days. Don't get me started.

I completely understand! Modern romances have so many cliched scenarios and characters like the good girl, bad boy or the boy who did not realize he loved the girl until she left him, etc. Not to mention they attempt to have a romantically blessed ending when not all romances are blissful. It's really insulting.

Do you like the fantasy genre? Harry Potter, Eragon?

Yes, I love the fantasy genre but would like to know more. Do you have any good recommendations? 😊

The Harry Potter collection is an all time favorite, I'm fact it was my entire childhood <3
I've just started Eragon, and I must say it's bloody brilliant.
Of course, there's Percy Jackson, Lord of the Rings. Just some of the classic kingpins of the fantasy genre.

Sounds fascinating. I must travel down this rabbit hole! My childhood favorite was Spiderwick. I remember sitting in good ol' Borders for hours reading the series. >-<

What is it about?

WriteBlu In reply to CherryyGirll22 [2017-06-14 15:17:54 +0000 UTC]
Well, I read it as a child so my memory is foggy, but I do remember it was about three children that moved with their parents to a new house where they found a book about unusual creatures that roamed the area. Some of the creatures where mischievous like a tiny troll-like being that stole items in the kitchen (mainly how one of the children, Jared I believe, found out about the other beings because he left trails of salt to record its footsteps). How the series ended, I truly cannot remember. There was also a dictionary of the creatures that had elves, trolls, goblins, undiscovered beasts, and the prettiest mermaids I've ever seen! It is a truly magical series. ^=^
