Even the part about those that "hate god will burn in hell"?Β

Fidelibus In reply to Xenomaster [2017-12-07 23:51:22 +0000 UTC]
He merely quotes the scripture.
"For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son so that all who believed in him would not perish, but have eternal life," -John 3:16.
It's wonderful truly.
Every single one of us humans was condemned to suffer in hell for all eternity yet because God chose to give us a second chance, he sacrificed his only son and with his blood paid the price that we were gonna pay so we wouldn't have to suffer. God defeated death. He gave us a chance to live with HIM, the Creator of THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, just because he loves us so much! We are called Christians and Christianity is our "religion" but it so much more than that. Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship with God. Jesus. The Holy Spirit.
God our father, Jesus the son, the Holy Spirit our mentor. God practically adopted us. We're not even his children, we're just creations of his! And yet he still sacrificed his own SON for us!
Imagine a shepherd has a son that he loves so dearly. He cares for his sheep as well, but they are rebellious and run away often. All of them try to run away and the second they do, the wolves snatch them up and give them a nasty death. The shepherd knows that the wolves won't give up; so he sends out his son, his only son, to fight the wolves. The son is harmed and is fatally injured for the wolves have harmed him greatly. Yet from his sacrificed flesh their stomachs were filled and they ran away as the shepherd comes for his son and they are banished to the forest. The shepherd heals his son and knows that the wolves will no longer return to the pasture where his sheep reside because the flesh of his son has filled their needs. The sheep stray from him, yet they remain in the pasture still and nevertheless return to him eventually. But some sheep stray away, further and further away, until they reach the forest. And since the forest is too far away for the shepherd to help, the wolves dine on their flesh.
God is our shepherd. He protects and loves us despite the fact we keep straying away from him. He does his best to keep us safe, sacrificing his only son, Jesus, to do so.
The wolves are Satan and his armies. They want to consume every single one of the sheep. Their desire for flesh and blood will never be quenched. They lurk in sin and evil, waiting for us to stray so they can snatch us.
We are the sheep. We are under God's protection. The sheep who love him may stray but remember he is there for them- and they return. The spiteful sheep stray further and further away, ignoring the warnings, and end up in the wolves' stomachs- hell.
Now tell me.
How can we not love God? After all he did for us? He created YOU. He didn't have to. But he still did.
You should be grateful.
He gave up his ONLY son. To give us a second chance.
You should be grateful.
So what is the point of hating him despite everything he has done for us?
Ever heard the phrase "don't bite the hand that feeds you?"
God feeds us Christians with the Holy Spirit, scripture, peace, hope and faith.
He tries to feed the sinners yet they merely bite his hands. And if you feed something and it bites- surely you won't feed it again? God does the same. He already gave us a second chance despite us not deserving it.
So be grateful to God and do not hate upon him. Take my words into consideration and ask yourself,
"Why should I hate someone who's sacrificed everything for me?"
Just think about it.
So please know that I pray for your soul. For you to open your eyes. Open your heart to God.
May you have a blessed year

Except when you think about it, sheep are lead to the slaughter. Individual wolves need the pack as a whole and vice versa. Not to mention sheep have been used to describe stupid or cowardly people while wolves are described as team players. To quote Attack On Titan's theme "live your life in peace like you're just a sheep, but wolves will never lose their freedom"
Plus "God" (I'm an atheist) blames us for something done by people with no good judgement of their own while letting the innocent suffer and the monstrous thrive. No one that's good would say gay people deserve to die to the point a large area would be devastated because someone stuck their ding dong in the wrong hole. And finally, God would know what would convince me, thus he is holding back what would make me a believer.Β Besides, he tossed us into the deep end and dangles that life preserver in front of us. If he made the universe, he decides the criteria of the judgement of souls and nothing goes against what he decides, then he is sending people to hell, not the people themselves
And last I checked LuciferΒ (Satan is not the devil) did nothing. He had a disagreement with god once. That's it. No mention of him being the snake (the most people give is the description of the dragon in revelation, That is not good evidence), very odd interactions between god and satan for supposed mortal enemies andΒ revelation hasn't happened yet... so yeah. Lucy did nothing wrong.
And about your question aboutΒ "Why should I hate someone who's sacrificed everything for me?". He didn't. He was dead for a weekend while still being the most powerful thing in existence. That isn't everything, that was barely anything!
And since you decided to preach rather than give a straightforward answer:
βDo not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father,Β Β a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-lawβΒ a manβs enemies will be the members of his own household.Β Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. - Matthew 10:34-37
Happy holidays

But of course, that is merely your opinion. You view God as evil and I do not. At the end of the world, let us see who is correct

Not really an opinion. Take everything bad god has done and put anyone you know in his place. Is there any justification for what that one person has done is right?
See ya in ValhallaΒ

God created the world. He created good and evil. God is good. He is perfect. And we are the ones full of evil, and despite being given a second chance, still stray further and further from him. He who only wants the best for us.
I'll be waving to you from heaven

Wow, the number of contradictions is astounding. You don't make evil intentionally if you are good, I already explained we are not full of evil and any chance of that was from a pair that were made ignorant and no good guy would endorse slavery, homophobia, killing kids and all manner of disgusting acts. All of that is in the bible, all commanded by god. Hell, being gay is on par with being a paedophile and someone who wears mixed fabrics!
That was a sarcastic remark as Pascal's Wager's big flaw is that it doesn't include other religions.

It is my son. But getting him to sit still is like nailing jello to a wall.
The shots of him may not be very good..but I'm proud anyways. If for no other reason than he sat still lol.
