 points are known as deviantart s currency. You can buy prints and stuff using points but you may also give it to your favorite artist.

Can you remove the background/make it transparent? It's easier to work with if it has a transparent background.

What program did you use? 

You can make the background layer invisible/reduce the opacity to nothing.
