So, what is your order of Tales games from best to worst?

I haven't played them all, but of the ones I have played/watched playthroughs of, I suppose it would be Xillia, Symphonia, Abyss, Eternia, Phantasia, Vesperia, Graces, Tempest, Legendia, then all of the sequels. (Symphonia II, Xillia II, and, while I've only read a synopsis, Destiny II. Tales sequels really aren't worth playing.)

Okay wow...I find Graces one of the best...I mean I know the A-Artes and B-Artes were new and changed the whole system making it WAAAAY off, but its not that bad. I still think Tempest sucks worst.

You're right that Tempest was far worse; I was exaggerating more than I needed to. But even putting aside the god awful battle system, Graces was still pretty bad. Granted, the childhood ark might have been necessary, but all it really did for me was introduce the main hero, his brother, and the main heroine as whiny little brats. (Though at least Asbel and Hubert actually outgrew that phase.) I guess what disappointed me most, though, is that the characters, just weren't likable. Cheria was the most annoying bitch ever to grace a Tales game with her presence since Marta from Tales of Symphonia II. Pascal wasn't bad, I'll admit, and Malik was okay, but similar to Alvin in the game that followed in that I could never trust the guy. Asbel was just sort of cookie-cutter protagonist, so no real complaints other than he was relatively forgettable. Hubert...the dude went from being a useless wimp to a total ass to a decent character way too quickly. ._.

I agree the character based on developments is indeed a HUGE flaw to the game, but the thing as a whole isn't all THAT BAD. I mean sure Cheria is a bitch. I'm sorry Cherry, but you ARE a bitch. BUT her Indignation, long/short-range artes and power to stop time balances her out from outside attitude to in-battle badassness.
Hubert, yes, too much developments given even if it is 7 years. But it couldn't help to show just a BIT more of his true Timid nature. I mean, couldn't it have happened in a few game scenes that shows he was shocked enough to show him his true wimpy nature? But battle-wise, he rocks!!!

Pascal, two words: Kyu. PIIINN~!! ( her Japanese trademark "Y'okay" 
Richard is pretty good too. His Coercion Artes were devastating. Especially combo of Shooting Stars, Lighting Blast, Infernal Prison and Holy Lance. But it takes a LOT of CC to pull off, so yeah. OP with a price to pay.
And Asbel...yeah, its as you said, cookie-cutter, close-range sword user and high combo chainer.
All in all, I'd give it a 7 story-wise.

And I'm really deprived because I'm very picky about who I RP with, not to mention there are very few ToA RP'ers, even fewer who would be willing to RP with OC's, and even fewer who can construct intelligible sentences. That's why I don't usually do group threads. If you have to go somewhere or are grounded or something, you can just tell the other person, the thread stops, and you don't miss anything. On group threads, just any old Joe down the street can join, and if you don't like their RP style, you're stuck with 'em, not to mention major events may happen.
