Thanks for the details! That's really helpful. Since I am not sitting over people's should as they use dA, I don't get to see what actually happens. And I guess it always makes sense to check up on scams! Do you think your friend from the Netherlands is going to apply for the job?

And, if you happen to have an experience where you think anything I've written about helps you with a project, it would be nice to know. One of the important things that I need to be aware of how I fit into dA, how my being "here" changes things for anyone (if at all).

she's one of my best friends, so will ask her to contact you again.

concerning you're efforts, i think it's very helpful for anyone who wants to start a serious site that targets certain category of audience, like gamers or designers...im thinking about starting few sites, but got some tasks to finish first, so we'll see how it goes

Oh, I think there is a misunderstanding... I didn't start that site, but someone passed along the announcement about the jobs to me. I knew that there are a lot of people here on dA who are into the topic and might also have experience writing about it.

I think the idea is that it's a job for "writers" but it seems like it would help to be really into the topic. There are lots of programmers/developers who also like to write... and also lots of writers who like to write about technology. So, it seems like the job is for either! But that's about all I know.
