well, my roleplaying hobby is pretty much dead as nearly everyone that i knew on this site has either become inactive or has abandoned me
luckily i have gotten a new group of friends.
ive flunked a few colleges and i still dont have any irl friends or love, but other than that ive been pretty okay

it was early morning when there had been the sounds of a large explosion. people who had been outside saw the streak of light hurling towards the ground. about half a kilometer from the base was now a smoking crater and from it a metallic noise was heard. and the smoke began to shift. something was moving inside the smoke.

The drone detected tons of signals from intelligent life from about half a kilometer away. The planet it found itself on was a planet with next to no atmosphere, little oxygen, and no magnetosphere. Completely unfit for life.
One of the life forms that was outside was making repairs to a few solar panels. They made their way to the crater to check the meteor out.

with a sudden sound the drone shifted from its space mode to land. its six legs pulling it from the crust of the planet. its orange eyes lighting up anything they passed over. the thing was pretty big, and it noticed the life form that had come to see the crater. it made a mechanical noise before in a deep booming voice it spoke in an unfamiliar language.

The handful of life forms that approached the drone all were terrible space suits, ones that would probably only allow the wearer to be outside for 10 minutes. Their features were impossible to tell through the space suits, but they were humanoid. They were much taller than humans and had longer limbs. Once the big thing spoke, they all fled and tried to get to the source of the signal as quick as they could.

At there sudden fleeing the drone made a loud mechanical alarm like sound before leaping over them, and landing in front of one. it spoke again, this time in a different language. it appeared to be trying to communicate. when it did not get an imidiate repky it ried another language

The person he landed in front of quickly backed up to try to escape from this potential threat.
Not too long after landing in front of the person, the drone started being pelted with rocks. Luckily, they didn't hit hard enough to damage anything, as the gravity was only 1/8th of what it is on sainia. Plus the creatures didn't appear to be all that strong.

the drone made some mechanical noises, ignoring the creatures now. looking for anysort of technology, such as a computer. it leaped over to the solar pannels the one had been working on, searching to see where they lead to. if it could find a computer, then it could collect the needed data.

The solar panel connected to a network of solar panels, all within a big field of solar panels. This network in turn connected to a base made from tons of rooms and tunnels. It was made by an incredibly advanced species, but not nearly the level Nuevo is at. It's more akin to a species that has just colonized a neighboring planet. The power generated by the solar panels fed through a wire into a transformer, which gave electricity to the entire complex. One of the wires from the transformer led into a server room.

*once the large drone reached it the shield plating parted on its "head" revealing a machine that was covered in sharp needles. with a mechanical hiss the device shot forward and into the nearest server. there was a electronic spark and blue light flashes over and over. after a minute of this the device returned to the drones head. it did a 180 and called out. this time in a language the natives understood* Native life forms of this colony. come forth. I mean you know harm. i am answering your distress beacon.

Now that the drone could speak the language of the locals decently, it could decipher the signals it had been getting from the creatures outside talking to eachother through wireless communication.
They had reached an entrance to their base by now, and one of them quickly opened an airlock.
"did anyone else hear it say anything?"
"i dont know, get inside already! we have to inform the dictator about this!"

the drone was seemingly getting agitated. the ai was having about enough of this. following them to the air lock and banging its head on the door of it and looking around for cameras. stating the same thing it had before.

A little over a week passed by before the creatures decided to show themselves again.
A handful of them got out of an airlock with a newly made EMP gun. They carefully approached the drone, clamping on to the emp gun to fry it if it did anything they perceived as a threat.
"where do you come from and why are you here?" one of them asked the drone.

*the drone had burried itself into the ground, soonly its solar pannels on its back were exposed. at the sound of movement it dug its self up and looked at the one with the weapon Hostile life form. i am Drone 8-762. i have come to awnser the dstress becon we detected.

The one speaking turned to one of the others standing there.
"Did you send a distress signal?"
"no, I haven't...i don't think my predecessor did either"
The speaker turned back to the drone.
"where do you come from?"

*the drone made another loud metalic sounding noise. its eye lights changing colors a few times before it spoke again, in a voice that sounded much angrier* I am Drone 8-762. if you wish to receive help from nuevo such as a way off this pitiful doomed planet, i suggested to refer to me as such.

The arm of the creature holding the EMP gun twitched as the drone began flickering its eye lights, like it was about to pull the gun on the drone, but refrained.
"what's Nuevo? What makes you say our planet is doomed?"
